A completely new, modern, non-bureaucratic, citizen-friendly water granting system was developed by the Ezute Foundation for the Water and Energy Department (DAEE) of the State of São Paulo. This technological tool allows the homologation of the requirements through Internet and provides a database on the availability and demand of each river basin. The system contributes to the improvement of São Paulo’s water management, so that the user knows the procedures he must follow to gain access to the reservoirs and also to become aware of the limits he will have to obey in order to preserve the concession of use of the resource Natural. The system interacts with other state agencies, such as Cetesb and Sabesp, and also with federal agencies such as the National Water Agency and the National Department of Mineral Production.
