In 1997, the hiring process of suppliers was consolidated: the main supplier of equipment was Raytheon; the supplier of aircraft chosen was Embraer; and the integrative Brazilian organization was Fundação Ezute (at that time, called Fundação Atech). Fundação Ezute was responsible for the absorption of knowledge and the integration of all the SIVAM processes and productions of information. With the project, the institution became the first in the world to have the responsibility of designing and integrating an innovative system of intelligence consisting of the surveillance and control of the airspace and the research of occurrences of every type of offenses that occur in a region such as the Legal Amazon in Brazil.
